Advanced Manufacturing is one top industry categories in our workforce area of eastern North Carolina. We make extensive use of computer, high precision, and information technologies integrated with a high performance workforce. This allows for both the efficiency of mass production and the flexibility of custom manufacturing in response to customer demands. Examples of advanced manufacturing in our workforce area are:

Penco is the largest producer of storage products and material handling solutions in North America.

Syfan manufactures quality and over-wrap films for the U.S. market.

Williamston Yarn Mill is a Fruit of the Loom company and it is one of the largest spinning operations in the world. This yard processing mill manufacturers organic fiber and fiber products.
