Biotechnology & Agriscience (NERSBA)

NERSBA is designed to serve as a statewide model for STEM/ science, technology, engineering and math education. It will serve students from Martin, Washington, Tyrrell, Beaufort and Pitt counties interested in careers in agriculture science and biological technology. At its peak it will serve approximately 450 students in grades 7-13.

As an early college, students can earn both a high school diploma while at the same time earning up to two years of college credit upon completing the five-year high school program. The location near Plymouth, approximately 25 minutes from Williamston at the Vernon James Research and Extension Center, will give students access to research courses, internships and many other aspects of education associated with NC State University.
