The Division of Employment Security (DES) is now part of the North Carolina Department of Commerce. Many online services are available to assist employers as well as the demand driven data delivery system which includes data on the labor force, industry employment and wages and occupational wages and business closings. Three major services are provided:

  • Employment Service
  • Unemployment Insurance
  • Labor Market Information
